It's been a busy time with work this last month so not had time to work on my house, I was hoping to have the living room finished for Christmas! - just back from a lovely break with my family and spotted this amazingly inspiring 1950's Christmas scene in a shop window!!

a lot of decorating to go - wallpaper, picture rails, floorboards etc...but getting excited!

I've been looking for suitable lighting for my house, have found some perfect flycatcher style lights online but very exspensive, wondering if anyone has any more affordable ideas, or can recommend any dollshouse lighting sites with suitable lights for this period?

I bought this sofa and chair online and made throws and cushions from old fabric scraps and doilies I have, I'm not sure if the fabric's 30's, 40's or even 50's? but think it works ok..

The original 30's/40's wallpaper arrived today, it's so pretty i'd love it on my own bedroom walls!!

I'm officially obsessed!  Have put the first coats of paint on and looking forward to the gorgeous 1940's wallpaper to arrive from Celia at KT Miniatures!

I found this old dollshouse cooker on a market stall and it inspired me to get started...I'll most probably be making a lot of it up as I go along but have lots of inspiration and any tips along the way would be great!
