With added door furniture, wish the doorbell worked...

Wednesday 29 July 2015

It's been a long while since I've had time to work on my Dolls house but it's been nice to have a couple of days break from Illustration and fit and paint the front door.
I wanted the door to be more of a '40's style to match the inside rather than Victorian.
It was made by Malcolm Smith at http://www.malcolmsminiatures.co.uk
He was recommended to me by Celia at http://ktminiatures.blogspot.co.uk
and I'm really pleased with how it looks, just need to add door furniture.

It's been so long but I've wallpapered the bedroom at last!

I finally got to use this beautiful original '40's paper from KTMiniatures,
probably the best miniatures site for 30's and 40's inspiration!

Most of the furniture is made from Jane Harrop kits,
another brilliant site,

not forgetting Dolly, my gorgeous miniature cat made by Josie -

there's still bits to finish but was so pleased with the wallpaper had to post!

It's been a while since I last posted, I've been quite busy with my Illustration
but recently I met a lovely lady called Josie on twitter who makes hats and
the sweetest felt animals.
Here are my cats Elvis and Dolly made by Josie, an incredible likeness
and the cutest little sausagedog!

Here's Josies website too!
